Caravan FAQs
A: Fire regulations do not allow cooking in Caravan. Therefore, it is recommended that everyone prepare dry food or build a fire in the designated area according to the camp regulations. If possible, fire flaps or other equipment must also be used off the ground, as “burning ground” can permanently damage the turf and it is unlawful under the Country Parks and Special Areas Regulation to light or use a fire at a non-designated barbecue or camping site. If you are not careful, it is more likely to cause fire, the consequences are serious, campers should also take care of the environment while camping.
A: Generally, campervans have private toilets and showers, but some private campsites will recommend that campers use shared toilets and showers, but campers need to bring their own personal cleaning and hygiene products, such as towels, shower gel, shampoo.
A: According to the Transport Department, no camper vans in Hong Kong have vehicle licences under the Road Traffic Ordinance (Cap. 374). At present, taxis placed in certain locations are not allowed to drive on roads and are not regulated by the Road Traffic Ordinance, so campervans cannot be driven or driven on roads.
